Portfolio Reviews for ISC: Bring in your portfolio to be reviewed by the instructors of Chicago’s very own International School of Comics. With 9 locations throughout Italy since 1975 the school made its American debut in 2013 opening its first location on the west loop of Chicago. Our first class has graduated from our 3-year program and we are now accepting applications for our Comics and Illustration programs and workshops taught by local Industry Professional such as; 6 time Eisner Award winner, Jill Thompson who has a new graphic novel out with DC Comics “Wonder Woman: The True Amazon” Dan Dougherty the creator of the self-published award-winning comic Beardo and creator and writer of the sensational comic Touching Evil. Award-winning Commercial Illustrator Douglas Klauba whose classic style artwork has graced the covers of comics like Doc Savage, Zorro, and The Phantom. Ben Hunzeker who has been working as a digital colorist for over 15 years starting with Voltron for Devil’s Due and over to Archie Comics for the last 10 years on Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega-Man. This is a fantastic opportunity to not only have your portfolio reviewed and critiqued by award-winning industry professionals but a shot at one of the limited seats available for the 2016-2017 first year program.
