The INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF COMICS INC., located at 1651-53 West Hubbard St, Chicago, IL, 60622, announces the contest called “CHICAGO LEGENDS”. The contest will take place in accordance to the following TERMS and CONDITIONS.
Please, make sure to read carefully.
1. PROMOTER:
International School of Comics Inc, is the promoter of the contest, here called ISOC.
2. RECIPIENTS:
The Comics Contest is open to all those who aspire to the career of Comics artist, Cartoonist, or Illustrator, and want to attend our school to become a professional in the visual art field. Participants must be at least 18 years old and a resident in United States or be in possession of a valid Visa permit.
3.CATEGORIES:
The contest allows two areas of development, participants have the chance to run for the category (A or B or A and B, although a participant can only win one of the prizes) that falls in line with their own artistic skills.
A) COMICS CONTEST.
B) ILLUSTRATION CONTEST.
4.DURATION:
The contest will open on August 25th, 2014.
All submissions are due October 26th, 2014 at 11:59 PM (CST)
All finalists will be informed of committee decisions by October 30th, 2014.
The three grand prize finalists must have the originals of their work delivered by November 6th, 2014.
Scholarship awards will be announced November 2nd, 2014

To submit, participants will visit the Facebook page of International School Of Comics, https://www.facebook.com/InternationalSchoolOfComics, and follow the instructions below:
a) If you are not already a fan, become a fan by clicking “Like”;
b) Launch the application “CHICAGO LEGENDS”;
c) Read carefully and agree to the Terms and Conditions of the contest. Affirm you are at least 18 years of age and proceed.
d) Fill in the form by providing the personal information required. Give the authorization to use certain personal data, confirm, and attach your files.
e) Load your project or artwork following the instructions and technical specifications described in the ILLUSTRATION AREA and COMICS AREA.
d) All artworks will be examined by a committee of instructors at ISOC, who are also working professional artists in the comics industry. Jill Thompson, one of the most accomplished artists in the industry and our newest instructor, will be the “Godmother” of the contest and the casting vote will be up to her.
