DIY Video Making Lab
DIY VideoMaking LAB
24 hours / Intensive Workshop
held by @lbert figurt
Goal
Think with the eyes, write with the camera: a deep and thoughtful investigation of the language of moving images. From a simple visual idea to a finished short film; in the era of expanded digital cinema, including videophones and youtube-like grass-root autoproductions (with a growing/global online audience), a mix of theory and practice to reflect on the future of do-it-yourself moviemaking
Schedule
1st weekend
• friday evening : introductory session (3 hrs)
we meet, get to know each other, speak about previous personal experiences in the field of audiovisual art; I’ll provide you with a few hints at the history & grammar of cinema and give you a detailed description of the upcoming full immersion
• saturday: ideas in motion (6 hrs)
I will briefly illustrate possible approaches to brainstorming / screenwriting / storyboard, then we will start to develop one or more original projects (you can choose between fiction, documentary and videoart); accurate planning & production logistics will follow
• sunday: shooting session (6 hrs)
“aaaaand… action!”

• saturday: editing session (6 hrs)
